Re: insurance question
First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. To answer your question, most likely that person's homeowner's insurance will not pay it (at least without fighting the claim vigorously first). It was an accidental death and it clearly did not occur on the homeowner's premises. However, I still recommend at least calling a personal injury/wrongful death attorney in your local area about this situation. Perhaps by merely threatening legal action, they can "guilt" or scare this person into paying some or your son's funeral expenses and medical bills out-of-pocket-- or at least submitting a claims under their homeowner's insurance policy. Once again, I'm very sorry about your loss and also to be the bearer of further bad news.
