Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
This involves an automobile accident
I had automobile insurance on a 1993 88 oldsmobile royale. In April of last year, my daughters boyfriend, who was 18, was driving my car, which he was also insured on, when he had an accident. A driver hit him from the rear. The police determined that it was my daughters boyfriends fault, because he pulled over in front of her. There was no damage to my vehicle at all. The other driver had a small dent in her front side panel. The ambulance and e.m.t. workers from the fire department were there and everyone said they were just fine. Noone was traveling over 30 m.p.h. Now almost 1 year later, I am being sued for over $6600.00 dollars for bodily injury. I was supposed to have complete coverage for both my vehicles at the time, but now I find out that I did not have bodily injury on the car he had the accident in. Do I have any recourse on this matter at all? Thank you.
