Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
Minor shot in a friend's car, who's insurance picks up the tab?
My friend's 17 year old son was shot while riding in his friend's car. The is recovering and now the insurance companies are getting involved. My friend's auto insurance company said it would go under her insurance, even though her son is not insured on her car and it was not her car he sustained the injuries in. Who's responsibility is it to pay for the medical bills? Wouldn't it fall under the driver's insurance, not the guardian's?

Since the injury was not as a result of an auto accident I doubt either auto carrier will cover it.
