Provider billed ins. for surgery that did not happen
A provider billed my insurance company for a surgery but there was no surgery done. The only thing the doctor did was look at the paperwork and x-rays and that was it. Now I have to pay the deductible for a surgery. I've contacted the insurance company and the provider and all I am getting is the run around. I don't know what to do now.

Suggest you send a letter to the insurance company voicing your complaint for them to investigate. Send a letter to the doctor objecting to the billing and ask for an explanation of the surgery charge. You may also call the Insurance Department at 800-342-2762 and ask them for the fraud unit to investigate.
