Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
I have a question I was recently in a car accident which the other driver was at fault (improper lane change). That being said she caused damage to the front end of my car. She has stated she would pay for damages to my car and referred me to her body shop. My question is should I insist we go through her insurance because she never offered to cover a rental while my car is in the shop?

You should be compensated for your losses. She can supply that on her own or through her insurance. If you are not satisfied with what she is providing, than make the claim against her insurance on your own.
Also be aware that you might have injuries that you don't realize until later. For example, some people feel fine right after an auto accident, but then their necks or backs begin hurting a lot within a few days, sometimes with very serious injuries. Therefore, if there is any possibility that you have any injury, you should immediately visit a medical provider (very urgent for your legal claim). You can either visit the ER, your primary care physician, or a walk-in clinic. You may or may not be able to be compensated for this treatment from her insurance company, depending on whether she has sufficient coverage, whether her liability is clear, and other factors related to your treatment. But you cannot be compensated without the treatment. Then you should report the claim to her insurance company right away.
