Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
I was recently involved in a vehicle accident, and my truck is not drivable, the police got involved, and the other person admitted fault to police, i contacted both insurance companies and they tell me they havnt been able to reach in anyway the person that hit me, and until they do theres nothing they can do. As i stated before my vehicle isnt driveable, therefore i cant get to work, and my boss has been calling me asking when will i be back, and i cant give him a definitely answer since i dont know myself, im afraid i may lose my job, as well as my only mode of transportation, if i just keep sitting around waiting, WHAT CAN I DO?

Your insurance company, if you have property damage coverage, should cover your vehicle and it does not require them to wait. If you don't have this type of coverage, then you have no choice but to allow the insurance company for the other party to do their work. If he fails to cooperate it can void his coverage and that is not what you want. You certainly can get a replacement vehicle, which again, your insurance should cover if you have that type of coverage. Seek some legal help.
