Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
Renter's Insurance
I own a rental condo in Tampa, FL. I lease to Oakwood Corp Housing and they have an insurance policy on the properties they lease. Does their insurance policy cover me as well or just them? I'm primarily concerned with the case of a tenant who might have an accident and sue.

Re: Renter's Insurance
You would really need to see their policy. You may be able to get the information from Oakwood Corp, but ideally you would like a copy of their policy. You can review that yourself, but you might need an attorney (or an insurance agent) to help you figure out what it covers. In addition to being concerned about "liability" to the tenant, you also want to make sure that your property (real and personal) is covered.
