Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
I own a small buy here pay here car lot. One of my customers has totaled their vehicle and also had defaulted and I hold a certificate of repossession. The customers insurance carrier refuses to pay off the lien I hold because the customer refuses to cooperate. I was under the impression that the certificate of repossession entitles me to payment for the lien interest even without my customer cooperating with his insurance carrier.

You don't have an absolute right to the insurance proceeds. You may need an attorney to intervene to assist you in collecting those proceeds.
