Stolen RV
I live in a gated comunity and we have a RV compound. Someone stole a RV and crashed it through our fence. How do we recoup the damages? From the owner of the RV or do we eat the damages?

Re: Stolen RV
The owner of the stolen vehicle would be responsible only if he or she was negligent -- for instance, if the keys were left in the ignition. Otherwise, you will need to pursue the person who stole it. Often times restitution is a part of the plea bargining process. You should check your own insurance coverage.
