Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

can they sue me?

My mom boyfriend bought a car but he has a bad credit so my mom agreed to put the car under her name. They have a different auto insurance policy. I share the same auto policy with my mom & my sister. She never use his car since it is a manual, but the insurance required my mom to be on his auto policy since the car is under my mom. If he gets involve in a car accident and didn't have enough liability, the other party will sue him. Can the other party sue my mom as well since the car he drives is under my mom? Also, can the other party put a lien on my house since I share the same auto policy with my mom?

Re: can they sue me?

Since all owners are liable for the acts of the driver the answer to your first question is yes. Since you have nothing to do with the car the answer to your second question is no.
