Theft and Insurance Claims
If you was a part of an Empolyer theft, and the Employer files an insurance claim for the lost property and given a settlement can the Insurance Company then tell you have to pay them back the amount they paid out to the Empolyer.If yes,1) if there is serveral other parties responsible, should the pay back be then split.2)What if you are paying restitution to the Empolyer

1. Yes, each employee would be jointly and severally liable for the entire amount.
2. The employer can only collect once for the loss. If he collected from his insurance company, he cannot ask to collect from the employees again.
