Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Vehicle Keyed while at dealer for maint

My vehicle was keyed the length of both sides while at the dealer for repairs. The dealer claims they have NO liability because they provide the same level/lack of security for their cars. However their lots only security method is lighting, which is 3 times more abundant in the areas occupied by dealer cars. Does this different in protection make them liable?

negligent security cases are tough. I'd need to know nore of the circumstances, although the fact that they treat dealer cars differently than the customers does help you in proving negligence.

I would ask to speak with the manager diredctly (face to face -- not over the phone).

He may like the option of fixing the damage as opposed to you a dissatisfied customer that tells others about the service he received. If you get no help -- go above his head to the manufacturer itself.
