Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida
Board members say boat has to go
I have had a boat on my property for 10 years with no problems. Previous board said it was okay. New board says boat has to go. By laws states no boats, no trailers anywhere on common property. My boat is behind my fenced area and you cannot see it. Shouldn't I be allowed to have what ever I want on my property so long as it isn't offensive to anyone? Do I have rights or grounds to fight this? I don't want them to steal my dream! We aren't talking about a huge boat here. Its only a 16' Logic.

You should have an attorney go over your agreements so they can look for a way to fight this.

I would be happy to review your Bylaws and any other homeowners association documents to advise you.
The prior board may have created a WAIVER which could potentially bind the current board.
Is there garage or other storage available on site?
