who does the car legally belong to

i have a car bought buy my mother, we had are differences and so im moving out the car is my fathers name is on the regestration and the insurance, but my mother said i cant take the car because she paid for it and she has the check showing that she paid for the car is the car legally my dads or my mothers?

Whoever holds the title, if the title is in your mother's name then she owns the car.
