Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

Dj's

Can Dj's legally play music for weddings and other gig's if the music has been legally purchased? Is there any licenses a DJ must have to do gigs?

Re: Dj's

You must have a license to play recorded music to an audience in public. Fortunately, you do not have to ask for the license from each individual artist/record label. The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) is 'one stop shopping' for the required licenses.

For all details and information for the appropriate license, See:

Good luck to you,

Sarah
