Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

I have been named as a defendant in a copyright infringement case and wanted to know what a notice, consent and reference of a civil action to a magistrate judge is and does it help me as the defendant?

Normally in Federal Court the parties can agree to have all or certain matters heard by a magistrate instead of the Federal Judge. Its probably not a good idea to represent yourself in a matter in Federal Court. Feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss further at www.behrenlaw.com.
