Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida
ownership rights
I am preparing to establish a business in which I am the sole provider of the intellectual property. I will be writing all protocol and programs. This corporation will be a bilateral corp as I shall have 2 partners in the US and 2 in China. The corporation will be based in the US. I need advice on the percentage of fair and equitable ownership I should anticipate.
Thank you.

Re: ownership rights
You will want to be sure that you have the rights to continue using and generating income from your I.P. in the future, and that the other partners understand your ownership of the I.P. Language which licenses, rather than giving them authorship is important. Since you are dealing with another country, as well, this agreement should also provide for which law will apply.
If you need further information, you may want to call an Intellectual Property attorney.

Re: ownership rights
If you're writing all the IP, then you should certainly retain all rights to it. License the IP to the corporation via contract. I'd be glad to help you out if you'd like. Good luck.
