Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

I have three photographs of Babe Ruth that were taken in 1939. I would like to auction them off. Are there any legal ramifications that would prevent me from auctioning them off?

Any attorney will say as long as you have legal title to the photos, this is done all the time on sites like eBay, etc. Good luck and consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
