Can you put into print something that says author unkown,or something that says annoymous.Where
can you find out who to ask permission to print anything if it says unknown or annoymous? Tank you so much for you help.

It depends on why the author is unknown. If the work in question is a work of authorship from, say, 190 years ago, then you're in the clear. Anonymous quotes which have come up through the ages are in the public domain. However, CAUTION, anonymous or unknown as a citation because it is found "somewhere" (somewhere unknown) does not mean the copyright is not owned by someone.
