Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

i am putting together a wellness seminar for 5th & 6th grade boys and would like to use the names of some famous sports figures: "What do Derek Jeter, Tiger Woods....etc. all have in common?"

The answer is: " they all went through puberty"

Do I need to get a consent/permission from the personalities mentioned in the question?

If you are profiting from the seminars, maybe. Use of their names is not alone any problem, I do not think. But, your use of their names and any other stuff you didn't say like picture, statistics, etc. is infringement of their Rights of Publicity (and maybe other rights too depending on the situation).

You should see an attorney to review your exact project, review it, and give you an informed opinion. I notice you are in my near area. You can email me.
