Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida
I want to start a business digitizing college textbooks. To get around a few of the copyright laws, I would have customers "rent" the digital media for span of time enough to be a semester. They would sign paperwork promising that they would delete the material once time is up. Its a business plan similar to that Netflix or something, except with ebooks. I know I would have to gain the author's permission. Is that plausible since Im going to make money of their book? What other legal issues should i be aware of?
