Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida
I am starting a children's line for high end boutiques. Part of our line we would like to use vintage citrus labels for our shirts. All of the labels we want to use are from companies, packing houses and growers that no longer exist under that name. How do I go about getting permission to use these on our shirts? Where do I begin? Some have the Reg Patent on them and some have the Copyright and some have nothing. Is this battle that can even be fought?
Thank you
Tiffany

When you say the companies no longer exist, what do you mean? Are they out of business? You will probably need to consult directly with an attorney on this particular issue. It's not one amendable to a simple answer on a bulletin board.
