Legal Question in International Law in Florida

Fail to fulfill a contract of transport

Shipment was to be transported by air w/an airline MIA/AGT. Airline rerouted shipment without client's consent and sent cargo by land to final destination. Cargo got stolen in transit under the custody of the airline.

Airline failed to fulfill the contract.

Is the airline liable for this cargo?

Re: Fail to fulfill a contract of transport

The airline is responsible, unless the contract contains special terms exempting it from liability. Also you should be covered by insurance. The key is to start this correctly and assert your claim promptly and effectively, as my firm has done in other airline - cargo cases. Jeremy Morley (best number for me is 888-393-1923)
