Legal Question in Investment Law in Florida
Through a fellow business person I was connected with a Finance holding company which has secured private lender funding for our expansion. As part of our loan agreement contract there is a $3550 fee to cover legal, wire fees, broker fees etc. The holding company is asking this be wired upfront to them. They have given us a guaranty letter thst upon receipt of the $3550 they will wire the funds. I’ve heard of a commitment loan before but does this sound legitimate? They did not ask for a fee before securing a lender or signing the loan agreement.

Sounds like a scam to me.
Good luck.
