Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Florida

i am 17 and want to move out of my house.

i have no dependency with my grandparents(who i am living with right now) and my dad had moved to land o' lakes with his girlfriend and he doesn't want me to move out although i have a frined who is willing to allow me to move in for free as long as i stay in school. i am a junior this year and am on the brink of having a mental breakdown because of all the accusations they are making about my friend (i.e. pedophilia) even though it is VERY clear that my friend isn't. they have been attacking me with threats about calling the cops or forcing me to move in with him and his girlfriend, who i have had to deal with for nine years now and am very over it. my friend has already proved that they can take care of me. by putting clothes(that actually fit and aren't hand-me-downs)on my back, feeding me much better than my parents ever did and a roof over my head. I want to know if it would be legal for me to move in with my friend. my parents had let my brother move out whe he was seventeen and he is 18 now and i dont understand why they wont let me have this freedom. i have never been in trouble with the law although my brother has been arrested several times. can you pffer me any advice?

Until you are 18, you cannot move out without your parents' permission. If you are being mistreated, you should speak with your school counselor or call DCF.
