Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Florida

In Florida If I give my Nephew who is 17 years old money to fly and live in Florida can I legally get In trouble? I want to get him his own apartment which I know I will have to put in my own name. Can my sister sue me or put me In Jail? My sister does not want this to happen and she will not let me have my Nephew as his legal guardian.

If the parent does not want this to happen, it should not occur. Who knows what she might be able to charge you with? An attorney in that state, not just Florida. In Florida you might get charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but that is doubtful. The kid should wait until he is 18 to move to FL.
