Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Florida

Inquiry about Juvenile records

My daughter who just turned 18 is dateing a boy who is 19, I was made aware that he has a criminal past. However he was a juvenile when these incedents happened. I would like to find out what happened. Is there anyway I can do this? As you can tell he is not a good match for my daughter. I would like to know all I can as a concered parent. Thanks.

Re: Inquiry about Juvenile records

Generally, you can't access juvenile records unless you are the parent/guardian. How do you find out what the charges were? Ask him. Ask your daughter. Ask if he was adjudicated delinquent. In junvenile law, there are no actual convictions, only delinquent behavior. If your daughter has any sense, she will eventually move on and get over him. This is temporary; I wouldn't worry about it.
