Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Myself and others, (10+) worked as subcontractors for a masonry company, the owner says that he can not pay us and is filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy. He is now operating under a different company name and phone number and has an ad on craigslist to hire new help. I have tried to contact him, but get no response. I went to the job sites and work is continuing with new workers. What can we do to get our money. This seems like a scam to get free labor to me.
