Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Accident

My father fell about 16 feet off of a lift at work. He broke his hip, fractured his leg, and tore his rotator cuff. The company that he works for had no safety equipment available and one other person fell a few months ago. My father is also epileptic (company knows this), but did not have a seizure. He is now suing the company. What are the odds that he will win?

Your father's injuries, and any potential recovery, will likely be limited to the benefits provided by the Florida Workers' Compensation law, as this is generally the exclusive remedy for a workplace injury like the one you've described. Accordingly, the likelihood of prevailing will depend on the true nature of his injuries and how much time, if any, he misses from work as a result of his injury.
