Compensation owed for hours worked; employer refuses to pay

I was recently terminated and was owed an 80 hour paycheck for which I had worked. In addition, I had three weeks vacation which, according to my employers handbook, is to be paid upon an employees termination. My employer has neither paid me for the 80 hrs I worked or for the vacation time. Can an employer legally do this? I was employed in Florida but and the corp. offices were located in GA. Can an employer refuse to pay for hours worked as well as vacation? Pls be advised that I was not terminated for falsifying hours or anything of that sort.

An employer violates both state (Fla. statute 448.109) and federal law (Fair Labor Standards Act) when it refuses to pay an employee earnings for hours already worked. There is caselaw that includes vacation pay earned through employment.
