Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I have no contract stating the time frame in which I get paid other than on a commission basis, I get paid monthly. My employer said he is going to hold my check for 60 days. Florida law states a patient has 30 days to make a return. Generally I am paid after I have delivered the instrument the next pay period after the first of the month. I understand that he wants to wait until the 30 days is up which some of my patients have already passed and he owes me. Can he hold my wage for another 60 days?

If you have no agreement about payment time, he is now providing the time period. If you don't like the timing, you will need to get another job.
