Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
During these days It has been really cold and almost everyone has been wearing sweaters and sweatshirts. Today I was wearing my sweatshirt and on top of that my regular company shirt. When I was leaving I had the shirt off and when I got to the door I was told to take off my sweatshirt. They are doing to everyone but they are doing this to see if any employee is stealing something. I got nothing to hide but ain't this illegal to be telling me I cant leave unless I take of my sweatshirt. Aren't they invading my privacy.

This does not have to do with invasion of privacy. This has to do with whether or not a company can mandate that you adhere to their uniform/dress code even if you are cold. The answer is that they can.
