Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am a mental health counselor. I worked at a supervised visitation center observing supervised visitations and therapeutic visitations for seven months. During those months, I only received one paycheck. It has been one year since I no longer have worked at the center, and I still have not received my last paycheck. I contacted the Department of Labor, and they advised me to take the director of the center to small claims court. The problem is that I suffer from social anxiety disorder, and am unable to be in a court room or stand in front of the judge. Is there any way to resolve this issue without having to go to court? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, there is no way to force them to pay you without going to court and getting a judgment.

You can retain an attorney to speak for you in court.
