Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

deductions from paycheck for a truckdrive

My husband drives truck for a trucking co. in Florida. They own the truck & he is paid mileage & perdiem. Every expense he has on the road for this truck (tolls, lumper fees, scales, etc) are deducted out of his pay & then we get a portion back. Is this legal when it is not our truck
