Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Discrimination

Black superviosr[large group] being reassigned to small group. New, bilingual, supervisor to assume her large group. Company recently has made it difficult, almost to harrassment, for long term employees to stay. HR told all four supervisors that she has saved the company lots of money by getting rid of long terms. Supervisor[black, female] and myself [white +55 female] are the only long terms left that don't speek Spanish.

No one seems willing to listen to how difficult the work is without the knowledge we have lost. By the way, we are an agriculture [horticulture]nursery. Just about the only ones we can hire to do the work are illegals. HR tends to treat them very badly also, as there is nothing they can do, or they won't do because of their situation.

Do we [black supervisor and myself] stand any chance if we talk to a lawyer? She has 20 years and I have 26. It's like you can see the writing on the wall.

This company has a history of letting people go by ''eliminating the position'', when in reality they do not, just get someone in at a cheaper rate.

Suggestions?

Re: Discrimination

There could be possible age discrimination and/or race discrimination claims. I would need to speak with at more length about this. You can call me if you wish to discuss it further.
