Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Discrimination?

My employer elected to have select group of employees provide doctors notes when sick. The remaining employees were not required to provide a doctors note when sick.

1. Is this legal or is it discrimination worthy of litigation.

2. My employer is based in IL, I work in VA and live in FL. Where should I seek legal counsel?

Generally, the employer has the right and discretion to require doctor's notes.
