Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

dress code

I work for a company that requires males to have a different dress code than females, when both are working in the same job. The dress code does not make the job easier to do, or have really anything to do with the job. The company just feels men ought to wear ties and dress slacks, where the women wear white pants and a collared shirt. Is it legal to require men to wear something different that the women, just to make the men look ''more professional''?

Re: dress code

Probably yes. If the employer's dress code policy is for legitimate business reasons, the law isnt going to require an employer to have men and women to wear the same color pants.
