Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Any employee rights in Florida??

The more I read the more disgusted I am with the working ethics of Florida-'right to work' mentality. Basically, employers can get away with anything. No wonder employees have no dedication. It works both ways people.

1-Are employees entitled to a break after working certain amt of hrs?

My manager made a comment last week that makes me think I'm next on the chopping block here(which isn't unusual-they fire an average of 6 people a month). They want to move me from my current cubicle(nice sized, facing front) to a small cubicle that's enclosed, facing the wall, and cannot see people entering behind me. Since I'm claustrophobic and was attacked from behind many years ago, I told her I cannot work like that. Friday she asked me if I wanted to sign on with the recruiting agency they use to hire people from. To me, this was unprofessional, but I'm wondering if it's a subtle hint that I'm next to go.

There is not much you can do regarding the space restrictions of your work area. If you are not comfortable working there--because the law does not give you any rights here--it would probably be best for you to seek other employment. On the other hand, there is a slight chance you could be covered by the ADA as "disabled" but I think the chances of that are very slim.
