Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
employee's rights?
To whom it may concern,
I have worked at Salon and spa for the last 4-5 months The 2 owners are husband and wife, and the husband is a Miami Dada homicide
detective with 3 years to go until retirement.
The wife is who is always there along with the manager a young 20 year
old girl . There were including me 7 employees, she has a big
overturn.
It all started about a month into working there when I started be demeanored. I
was yelled at, cursed at, talked about to clients who told me and now she won't
give me my last paycheck.
I am a licensed nail technician, certified permanent makeup artist, and in
school for esthetician. I was her only nail tech, permanent makeup artist,
special occasion makeup artist (weddings) and also working the last 2 months as
her only esthetician and shampoo assistant (which shampoo assistant pays $45.00 a day).
I had many clients ask me ''why are you still here?'' I can't believe the way she
treats you! I know of at least 3 clients that would stand up for me and 1
employee.
With the permanent makeup, the salon offered a 30 day touch up included in the
price which we did 50/50 on. She gave my phone # to the clients to call me to
get the touch up somewhere else, where
