Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

employer calling a parent

i was terminated because of policy from my job just recently. I am 29yrs old and the LP manager made me call my mother (i guess to make me feel embarrased)and made me do it in front of him, when I told him she suffers from health problems he still wanted to go thru with it. Told her he came to put me in jail (whatever) but told her he wouldn't b/c of her and her son and this false news landed her in the hospital like 20 minutes later with an asmtha attack and a pressumed almost heart attack. Can I sue him for this? b/c from my understanding 17 and under is when your parents are called.

Re: employer calling a parent

You are 29 years old. How did he "make" you call. If you knew of her illness, why did you call? I don't see a case worth pursuing.
