Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
An employer decides to reduce or close operations on the Friday after thanksgiving, and mandates that any salaried employee not required or permitted to work must either take a day w/no pay or take it as a vacation day. This has been a practice for years. How does this fit in the FLSA, as it seems to relate pay of an exempt employee to the quantity of work for that week.

I do not think that there is anything wrong with employers requiring vacation days to be taken at certain times.
