Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Employer does not want to pay vehicle reimbursement due to feeling got hurt.

A compay hired me and th deal was that I would receive a salary and a vehicle or vehicle expense. After abouth three month of employment the owner decided that this poisition was not for me and we continued with general conversation at which point I made mention that I had been accepted to the police academy in January of 2003 and this made him extremely mad to the point the he said I should of told him about this when I found out. I was asked to call him the next the day about the expense check and I was told that he would not pay it because he felt that he was taken adavantage of and that the academy was not something that I had just applied to. Did I have an obligation to give this information when I accepted the job

Absolutely not--and your employer is legally required to reimburse you for any expenses which were part of your compensation. Tell him you have already contacted an attorney and demand payment immediately.
