employment compensation
accepted salary/position offered. worked 6 weeks, position/salary were not previously approved and have not been approved to date. I have not received any compensation since starting my job - 6 weeks ago. Dealing with Employee Relations Dept., with no resolution - what do I need to do in order to receive my compensation?

The situation is unusual. Given there is an employee relations department, this sounds like a big company. You should have a good claim for all compensation not paid, at least until such point that employer terminates you or advises you of a compensation rate different from the one you were told at outset. Do you have any proof of what you were told at outset? Generally speaking, employers are not permitted to have you working for no wages or less than minimum wage, absent some exemption.
