Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Employment Contracts
I was recently laid off from my job as a Software Implementation Consultant. I had been with the company a little less than 2 years. When I was hired at the company I was given a list of company benefits one being 8 hours of training per year. In the time I was there I never received any of the training even though there was more than adequate time for the training. The company is hiring for positions that with the training I was to receive I would have easily qualified for and thus would have retained my position. I believe this information is in the employment contract I signed. Also by letting me go in December they were able to get out of giving me the stock options that would have vested at the end of this month. Do I have any legal recourse?

Re: Employment Contracts
I would need to review the Contract itself to tell you: (1) if it is legally enforceable; and (2) what rights, if any, you have under its terms.
