Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Employment Law
I have an employment agreement with my current company, a non-compete clause. I think the company has breached that agreement by demoting me to a lesser position, reduce my salary, and not offered a severance package. I know you cannot read the aghreement until I send it to you, but my question is whether they can still enforce the non-compete when I am no longer a Branch Manager.
I reside and work in the state of Florida.

Re: Employment Law
I really depends upon the terms of the non-compete. What is the scope of the agreement? Would need to see the document to answer these types of questions. Feel free to contact me to discuss further.

Re: Employment Law
The non-compete you signed may very well still be enforceable, if its supported by what the law calls a "legitimate business interest," because those types of clauses continue to survive even a termination. You should consult an attorney in your area promptly to determine your rights.
