Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Final Warning without any previous disciplinary action

I was asked to sign a verbal warning of letting a fired employee back in the building.I am A Health Care Coordinator in a Assist living and live 65 miles from the facility and I was not aware of him coming in to visit the residents until the next day.The resident let him in that night to see them in their room 5 of them. The next day I told the Regional along with Director. My job performance has never been question. I have improved the quality of care and came in when they had let another HCC go.

I am a very honest ,loyal person and this has upset a GREAT deal.

I feel that my reputation and professionalism has been compromised.I have done nothing to merrit this action.

I do not see a lawsut here, if that is it. If you do not want to sign the letter and contest the substance of the warning, then so state.
