Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Do they have the right to fire me?
I had gotten a job at a local puppy shop. When I was hired by a different manager than the one that I was fired by,I was under the impression that I would have 3 days off a week considering that I am a full time student. When I had asked for a day off considering I had worked everyday for two weeks, and that I have midterms coming up, they fired me. Their reason was that I was given 3 chances to back down (?) and that everyone only gets 2 days off a week. I explained I was hired as part time work.The woman stated that I had self terminated. These rules were not told to me on the day of my hire. I have not read or been told anything about this 'company policy.' Is there anything I can do?

Legally they can fire you yes, and no, there is unfortunately not anything you can do.
