Fired for no basis

I was fired for smoking pot, I never did never have. I offered to take a drug test to no avail, not even a discussion.

If you worked for a private employer in Florida, there may not be any recourse since Florida is an employment at-will State, which means your employer is technically allowed to terminate your employment for a good reason, a bad reason, or no reason at all. However, you should consult with an attorney if knowingly false information is being communicated to prospective employers.
