Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I was fired last Thursday. I had no warning, no write ups, never a negative comment or critique. I was a salaried supervisor. My manager told me the company was moving in a new direction and I did not fit the mold. I am a 54 year old male. I put in 60 plus hours a week with no compensation, was available for tech and service support 24 hours.

I accumulated 60 hours of vacation time which I was told I would be paid for. I received my pay (docked for Friday) even though I was salary and did not receive my vacation pay. Am I entitled to my earned vacation pay? They also owe me $100.00 in receipts. How can I collect what is owed me?

Please advise.

Thank you

Depending upon their policy on payment of accrued vacation they probably owe it to you and you may need to have a lawyer letter sent to them and maybe sue them for it.

Also did you consider filing a claim with the EEOC re: age discrimination based upon your termination?
