Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
food safety and ethics of employer
I am working for a company that is using out dated products and insisting that I do as well. My supervisor got very angry with me, becouse I thought it wrong to use milk dated Jan 22 in the customers coffee drinks on Feb 13. She told me that there is nothing wrong with it and the code dates don't mean anything. I am no longer at McDonalds, but was a Restaurant manager for 10 years. They would never have allowed such a thing. I feel those code dates are there for a reason and it is not for her to question it. On top of it she tried to make feel feel wrong for daring to question her. This is not the first time I have questioned ( to myself) things she has said and done in the past. How should I handle this?

Re: food safety and ethics of employer
Put complainst in writing to local and state boards regulating food safety. Also make sure you keep notes if the employer starts to take actions against you because of your complaints about use expired food products. if theyfire you because of it, you may have a whistleblower claim against them.
